The well-being of our students is also our top priority.

How can we give support to the students?

Future International Academy prioritize the social, welfare and secure learning environment to the students. We have a section supervisor, social worker and a SOD educators  to assist the students.

During the enrollment process we do the several interview to the students to  know whether they have additional learning support and requires further assistance. As part of this process we also report to the parents with a number of recommendation and  advise them concerning to their child’s needs. At this point our skilled Social Workers and SOD (Student of Determination) Team  are assure that students are neutralizing the learning environment safe and ease. At FIA, we commit to establish and maintain good practice in relation to child protection and safeguarding.

Students’ Well-being

To support the wellbeing and personal development of all students, the school offers many opportunities for student involvement. Such us  students’ council, scouts, students’ leadership program, and a variety of clubs which are open to all students across the phases that aim to give autonomy and self-resilience to FIA students. Field trips inside and outside Al Ain city are being implemented for all students from Grade 1 through Grade 12. These tips are either educational or entertainment trips during the weekdays or even during the weekend.   A wide range of events and celebrations on the school calendar take place throughout the academic year such as: National Day, Flag Day, international day, FIA Bazar and career week, innovation week, reading week and several competitions and tournaments.

In FIA we believe in giving the students all the support and opportunities to be in touch with real-life occasions and events.

Additional Learning Needs / Gifted and Talented

The school has a comprehensive system in place for identifying the students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and the Gifted and Talented (GAT) students. The GAT identification process is based on a range of factors taking into account academic, personal and social, sporting, and cultural indicators. CAT 4 test is being implemented to give a deeper profile for the cognitive abilities of the GAT students.

Students with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) are identified either through the school’s admission processes or by means of curriculum and diagnostic testing once students are in the school.

The effective support provided in class by the shadow teachers or by pull-out sessions by the SEN specialist enables most students of determination to make good progress and to enjoy academic and personal achievement.  

Resources room for the pull-out sessions are available and equipped with educational resources and tools that facilitate the teaching and learning of the students with additional learning needs. Students follow personalized individual education programs, which are carefully reviewed and monitored by teachers, parents, and the students themselves.

  Extra support program for the students who are below average of the school expectations named “I Can” is being implemented for limited groups of students as remedial classes. 

Career and Academic Counselling

The school provides a very effective personal and academic guidance and support on how to make career choices and preparation for higher education, through a weekly period for high school students from Grade 9 through to Grade 12.

Students learn about future career opportunities and which universities in the UAE and across the world which will best meet their future plans. Universities open day is one of the school major programs that aims to give the high school students a wider view for the high education chances and opportunities.

Career counsellor and social workers are available to meet the students’ requirements either for social and personal aspects or career and academic topics.

Code of Conduct

Social Worker Department helps in identifying factors in the school and community that influence a student’s behaviors and social success, and find ways for students to maximize their success. We assist students who face social and behaviors issues, and help students develop and reinforce correct behavior.

Our department involves in counseling students by meeting with them to discuss the issues they face and their root causes. Also, we help students who frequently disrupt classroom activities or show violent behavior toward teachers and other students. We often communicate with parents, teachers and administrators to share information about students. Through conversations, they seek information to help them understand students’ challenges and to monitor each student’s level of success in addressing issues. 

Child Protection and Safeguarding

We provide a clear procedures for identifying and reporting child protection and safeguarding concerns. The school ensure that any such issues are dealt with promptly, sensitively and professionally in a way that serves the best interests of the child.
